  • „Anti-Americanism before and after Iraq.” (Social roots on the Left and on the Right; great power relations and cultural issues; scapegoating and the blame game; Hungarian and European perspectives; comparative perspectives based on surveys.)

  • „Threats, challenges, risks and the public perception of security.” (From raising awareness of security issues to public demands for security. Security issues in public opinion. National consciousness and territorial/national defence: approaches from the Right. Global and environmental security/good-neighbour relations: modern liberal approaches.)

  • „Climate, environment, natural disaster preparedness.” (Kyoto issues, diplomatic/foreign policy aspects of global climate change. Developing Hungary’s position.)

  • „Spreading and supporting democracy: American and European solutions for a successful joint transatlantic project.”
